Son of my Father - Chicory Tip

So when did I start buying records for myself, now I am pretty sure that everyone can remember their first bought record, can't help wondering if that happens these days with downloads?

Well it was 1972 and my first ever pocket money purchase was Son of my Father by Chicory Tip.

Listening to it again it was obviously the Moog Synthesizer that really drew my attention to the tune, it was a different sound, electronic too, gawd what was that, enough to blow my mind that;s for sure.

Must confess that my listening to records was not really about the words as I could not sing any of these all the way through, again maybe that is a good thing.
